A Brief History

1857 – T.M. Duche & Sons was established.
1956 – Christopher Hacking joined T.M. Duche
1971 – Duche & Hacking was formed.
1972 – C.G. Hacking & Sons Limited evolved.
1991 – C.G. Hacking & Sons Limited bought a controlling stake in T.M. Duche from the commodity giant Beresford.
1999 – The Shareholding in T.M Duche was sold back to the Duche management team (which included their Philippine Coconut supplier).

The company specialises in the global trade, marketing and European import and distribution of TREE NUTS – a field in which we have over 100 years combined experience.

We supply a variety of industries including: bakeries, confectionery companies, the ethnic trade, manufacturers, repackers, roasters & salters, wholesalers & health stores.

We can also arrange recleaning and repacking of product in the UK to the strictest specifications.

In ever changing market conditions, we pride ourselves in providing our customers with market updates and a first class personal service.

With constantly tightening food safety legislation, our focus is on sourcing from suppliers who offer traceability, have a HACCP plan and GFSI accreditation.

We have well qualified personnel dedicated to Technical matters and in April 2018 we were certified by BRC for Agents and Brokers.

We run an Integrated Trading and Accounts Computer System (ITAS) and have a dedicated logistics department to ensure product is delivered on Time and that accurate, current information is readily available.

Our Managing Director, Mr Giles Hacking, is a serving committee member of the Tree Nut Council (INC). He is also a committee member of the Tree Nut Association (T.N.A.) previously known as CENTA.
